Basti Lodhran is a small village of union council Khairpur district in southern Punjab, Pakistan. The village lacks basic facility only one government owned primary school but it is closely attached to khair pur sadat that enjoy all basic facilities including both public and government owned primary and high school. The estimated population is about 2000 individual, literacy rate is 30%. Main source of income is agriculture including wheat, cotton, sugar and some kind of vegetable. The irrigation system mainly include private turbine, some part of village is irrigated by canal from Indus River. The village lack basic medical care and there is no doctor present, but recently a young man from Ghauri tribe named Muhammad Mudasir Hafeez has been officially selected to study medicine from internationally famous university in Cuba will be first foreign scholar and doctor from this village.
